Our Background
In July of 2003, a group of citizens met in the meeting of the minds to birth the Hattiesburg University Foundation via impacting the benchmarks of education, literacy, social services, housing, community and economic development. In April of 2007, our tax-exempt status was granted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Here at the Hattiesburg University Foundation, we are committed to a single goal: striving to make the world a better place for citizens and communities. Therefore, please peruse and explore our website to learn more about all that we’re doing to make social changes. We are a committed, public 501(c)(3), non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to finding solutions for those in need, so that they can overcome challenges, while developing meaningful juxtaposed impactful relationships with them.
Serving Humanity Through Human Philanthropy Via Implementing Human Kindness
OUR MISSION
The "mission" of the Hattiesburg University Foundation is to "serve humanity through human philanthropy via socially, culturally and financially impacting the benchmarks of education, literacy, housing, social services, community and economic development, implementing human kindness." Furthermore, our mission is to involve, educate, and unite Americans in order to spread our passion of giving juxtaposed service throughout Mississippi and Georgia. Whatever cause(s) you are passionate about, the important part is getting involved. Here at the Hattiesburg University Foundation, we hope to give new depth to the idea of giving, impacting citizens and communities, by bringing hope, meaning, and fruitful services to youth, adults and families' lives, in concert with our financial stakeholders.
